i’m pretty sure robert downey jr. is tony stark
I remember when Marvel announced that RDJ had been cast as Iron Man for their first film featuring the titular character. And there wasn’t any kind of split in comic book fans or movie fans on the casting that I can remember. Everyone pretty much thought, “Wow, he may be the perfect person for that role.” Aside from the genius, billionaire philanthropist side of Tony Stark, Robert Downey Jr. is the living embodiment of every other part of Tony Stark.
Here is my proof:
I mean, it’s to the point that RDJ and Tony Stark are nearly synonymous. He doesn’t have to pretend to be like Tony Stark, he just is, which is absolutely brilliant.
RDJ? Tony Stark? Both. Yep. Both.
And the news of The Mandarin being in Iron Man 3? Do I really have to wait a year for that? And even longer for Captain America: Winter Soldier(!!!!)?
